The Global Internship Program provides students with opportunities to engage in research activities at overseas university laboratories, thereby enhancing their expertise while developing practical skills. A variety of programs are offered every year across different programs and majors, ranging from individual study-abroad opportunities to group-based workshops conducted at partner universities overseas.
In the Undergraduate and Graduate Programs of Information Science, the program is primarily designed for first-year students in the Master’s Program (Doctoral Program, First Stage). Students are offered opportunities to gain approximately three months of work or research experience at overseas Japanese-affiliated companies, universities, and research institutes related to information engineering with which the university has internship agreements. Participants receive scholarships based on the KIT Global Human Resource Development Program.
Past host institutions include the following:
- Bangkok, Thailand: Kasetsart University
